USC Buffer Team Riparian Restoration Planning Webinar
With funding from NYSDAM entitled our “State Buffer Program”, USC plans to support both buffer planning and implementation, and reimburse district staffing costs for completing these riparian restoration planning activities (aka Buffers). This training will inform attendees on how to access the planning funding, complete a riparian restoration plan, and gain insight as to how conservation easements tie in with riparian buffer establishment.
Trees for Graziers Training
This video highlights the Trees for Graziers training program, introducing farmers and land managers to the benefits and practical application of silvopasture—the integration of trees into grazing systems.
Participants learn how adding trees to pastures can improve farm productivity, provide shade and shelter for livestock, and create additional sources of fodder. Through real-world examples and expert guidance, the training walks planners through species selection implementation strategies, helping graziers successfully incorporate trees into their operations.
